In 2014 Brighton Energy Coop partnered with Park Gate, a residential block in east Hove, to install 100kWp of community-owned renewable energy. Installed by the Little Green Energy Company, the system was designed and developed by the BEC team and funded by 47 local people, who all recieve 5% interest on their investment.
