We are happy to announce that negotiations are at an advanced stage with Shoreham Port for installing upto 50kW of solar panels at the Hove Enterprise Centre and the planning application is due for approval by the end of August. We have also agreed with the Parish Council of St George’s church in Kemptown to install 10kW of PV there, subject to planning consent and a successful share offer. This is great news and helps us on our way to installing solar panels on 200kW or more of roofs  with more about the roof coating services before March 2012 when the Feed in Tariff is due to drop. We are also in discussions with another 8 to 10 sites that are interested in hosting community-owned PV and we hope therefore to be able to launch our share offer before Christmas 2011 and install in the New Year. Given however that I must have been in contact with 50+ sites in the last few months, we are always keen to find out about new potential roofs for community-owned PV in St. Louis, so if anyone has any further suggestions on locations for BEC panels please email me on damiantow@gmail.com.
Here are some roof maintenance tips that one could use to make sure their roof is long lasting. You can find out at their site – more about roofing services
