Green MP Caroline Lucas and Guardian Executive Editor Jo Confino will be at the launch of Brighton Energy Coop’s second project tomorrow night. This exciting new project will see more than half a million pounds of community-owned solar PV installed in and around Brighton and Hove.
So far more than £75,000 has been pledged to our new scheme; you can add your interest via the form on the right. Last year we raised £240,000; this year we’re going to more than double that!
Members will receive a 5% return on their investment, as well as a 30% tax break for those who qualify. Do come down if you can – we’ll be outlining details of the scheme and how you can get involved.
The meeting is at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton at 730pm. Beforehand we are holding our AGM at 6pm, please note that this earlier meeting is for existing BEC members only.
Hope to see you tomorrow!
