Hi folks,
I’m pleased to say that Brighton Energy Coop will launch our fourth community-owned solar PV project next month. While we’re currently finalising the details, but we expect to double our current size and install up to 1MWp of new solar in the Brighton area over the next six months. If you’re interested in becoming a member you can pledge your interest here.
Over the last 3 years we’ve raised £680,000 for new PV in the Brighton area, and our existing systems are performing well, as you can see from the charts below. The first shows the output of each of our systems since Sept last year; the second compares the relative efficiencies.
As well as bucket loads of clean, green energy, the great news is that from August we’ll be paying a 5% dividend to all our current members (subject to our accounts being approved at our AGM) on time and as promised in our previous share offers. This is in addition to the 30% EIS tax break that members have already qualified for.
So: if you’d like get involved in our new project then do use this form to pledge your interest, or come and have a chat with us on the 11th/ 12th June at Brighton’s Eco Technology Show, Stand B41.
In the meantime – hope you are all well.
Cheers
Will Cottrell
