FermionX offers a wide range of contract electronics manufacturing services from PCB assembly and sub-assemblies to fully integrated box build, test and shipping fulfilment. The company was keen to install solar panels at their premises in Worthing.
FermionX successfully applied for a £25k grant from the Community Solar Accelerator scheme to install a PV array to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce energy costs.
The solar installation was done in conjunction with a roof replacement in early 2023. The new, corrugated flat tin roof that also has an East/West-pitch which worked well for the installation.
The installed solar array size was 90.2kW which is expected to generate at least 84,200kWh annually. FermionX will make financial savings in the region of £32,000 per year. This means that the payback on investment is going to be between 2-3 years.
