Paine Manwaring Ltd offer heating, plumbing and electrical services in the South East. They were looking to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint by installing solar PV at their premises in Worthing.

The Community Solar Accelerator scheme was able to support the project with a £14,500 grant. Paine Manwaring Ltd had 38kW solar PV installed and 2 EV charging points.

“We are looking to introduce electric vehicles for our managers and the provision of EV charging point at our offices will help to promote this option.” Andy Prager, Managing Director

The solar PV installation was strategically implemented in conjunction with their roof replacement to allow the shared use of scaffolding. The solar array is estimated to produce around 33,000kWh electricity per year and save them around £9,000 in the first year. We estimate the payback to be between 2-3 years.

“The installation of PV will dramatically reduce the cost of running our offices and will help with our drive as a business to minimise our carbon footprint. We have ISO14001 certification and are supply chain partners with a number of local and national organisation within the construction. A number of these organisations ask us to monitor our impact on the environment and to actively look at ways we as individuals and teams can reduce the amount of CO2 we produce.” Andy Prager, Managing Director
