Southern Piling is a specialist in the delivery of piled foundations for housebuilders, developers, contractors and private individuals, across southern England, London and the Home Counties.
They successfully applied for the Community Solar Accelerator grant and received £15,600 towards their solar PV installation at their premises in Henfield Business Park.
Southern Piling had a 40.5kW solar array installed with over 80 solar panels on their east-west-facing sloping roof. The array will produce around 37,000kWh per year, and is expected to provide a financial saving of around £18,000 annually.
Production Director Richard Francis said that the solar panels will provide a clear environmental benefit to what is clearly a CO2-heavy industry and would also be beneficial to the company through promotion of phase one of our green transition.
