Relationship Nurtured Between BHCC and Energy Sparks Gains Traction

The solid relationship we have nurtured between Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) and national energy education charity Energy Sparks has far reaching benefits.  It has opened up this incredibe energy education and monitoring platform to all #brightonandhove schools and is now being promoted citywide!

Of our Solar Schools; Carden Primary, Coldean Primary, Balfour Primary, Hertford Schools and Woodigndean Primary Schools have all signed up. They will each receive a £300 grant from our 2021 Community Fund to allocate time and resources to learning how to use this powerful tool to drive down their carbon emissions and fuel bills.

St. Luke’s Primary, who were trail blazers in installing their own solar way back, and Dorothy Stringer High School, renowned for the excellent sustainability work on their Butterfly Haven and Big Nature have also signed up.

On Jan 20th at 4pm Brighton & Hove Environmental Education (BHee) are organising an energy focussed ‘Twilight Session’ for Heads of Brighton & Hove schools where they can ask questions of Dr. Claudia Towner of Energy Sparks, and of Matt Brown, our New Project Developer, with regards to our Free Solar For Schools.  You can read the BHee newsletter announcement here
