Powering renewable energy in Brighton

Brighton Energy Coop owns more than £1,000,000’s-worth of community-funded solar PV in the Brighton area.

Located at seven sites, our solar systems are funded by our members – hundreds of people have joined in the past two years, helping to support more renewable energy for our city.

We continue to develop new renewable energy projects in the area; our members receive a 5% return on their investment and the chance to join a dynamic, progressive organisation committed to development of community-owned renewables.

How it Works

We connect investors to solar projects in Brighton and on the South Coast. As the projects produce clean electricity they generate revenue by selling power to our solar landlords and to the national grid.

As we earn revenue, investors are paid back with interest.
