The UK’s biggest community renewables organisation, Energy4All, recently raised £540k for an extension to the Kilbraur wind farm in Scotland.
Existing shareholders of Kilbraur were invited purchase further shares to raise capital for the project. The move follows last year’s successful share raise of £704k for an similar extension of the Ben Aketil community wind farm.
Energy4All are having a good year: as well as raising finance the group also received planning permission for the Torrance Farm Wind-Farm Project in North Lanarkshire, set to be the largest community owned wind project in the country.
